Optimal result

It starts with real fresh

Our production process is geared towards creating fresh, premium-quality gourmet products. That means rich in vitamins and minerals and full of aroma, colour and flavour. By making smart choices, we do not have to make concessions. Our products always taste fresh, even after treatment to extend their shelf life.

The process

From ingredient to finished product

Fresh off the press
Really fresh

A conscious choice for cold pressing

We believe that cold-pressing produces the best quality. It preserves vitamins and minerals and makes our juices taste like freshly picked fruit and vegetables. To achieve this result, the temperature during the entire process never exceeds 7 degrees Celsius.

But really good juice requires more than just a low temperature. The more than 80 types of fresh ingredients that we receive every day are first checked. Then we extract the juice in a way that suits that particular fruit or vegetable. For example, avocados are crushed and apples and beetroots go through the world-famous belt press. Regular checks ensure the quality of the process.

What remains is delicious juice, rich in flavour. This juice is the basis for our tasty products. From juices and smoothies to shots and ice creams. We blend the juices into delicious combinations or keep the taste pure, like orange juice.

Enjoy even longer

With smart technologies we extend the shelf life

Cold-pressing also means that we do not heat our juices during the preservation process, as too much quality is lost in the process. This way we create truly fresh juice products, ready to find their way to the consumer via our partners. For partners who wish to extend the shelf life of our fresh products, we use our innovative HPP or FMP technology. This allows us to optimally preserve taste, texture and nutritional value. Because no additives are used, these are clean-label technologies.

HPP

HPP (High Pressure Processing) is a high-pressure treatment at low temperature. We place the bottled products in a pressure vessel and keep them at a pressure of 5,000 to 6,000 bar for one to several minutes using water. This inactivates common spoilage micro-organisms. Because HPP does not affect the smaller molecules, taste, texture and vitamins are preserved.

FMP

FMP (Fresh Micro Pulse) is also known as pulsed electric field processing. In this process, we treat a container filled with fresh juice with a series of high-voltage electrical pulses. This extends the shelf life and preserves the quality of the juice.

Our presses

To let the whole of Europe enjoy our fresh juices. That is an ambitious goal. We work towards this goal with a large team of flavour professionals from our pressing facilities in Zwanenburg and our logistics centre in Velsen Noord. Our production location is 12,000 m2 and is equipped with state-of-the-art pressing and filling machines that were specially made for Hoogesteger. Experts from all over the world come to see how our juice factory runs and we are very proud of that.
